The Edmonton Heritage Festival is an annual festival that celebrates the cultural diversity in the city. This year, it took place from Sat, Jul 31 2021 to Mon, Aug 02 2021, over the Heritage Day long weekend. I went bright and early on the first day, Saturday Jul 31 2021.

The Edmonton Heritage Festival is an annual festival held over the August long weekend (first Monday of August) that celebrates the cultural diversity in the city. In 2019, it was held over the Aug 03-05 long weekend. I went in the afternoon of the first day, Saturday Aug 03 2019.

This was a really significant event (or series of events) that happened in the middle of the pandemic year, 2020. The Summer Connect program aimed to match international students with Canadian volunteers in order for both sides to make cultural connections and new friends.
